THAILAND
Temples, islands
and something wilder
Most people see the surface of Thailand. The islands, the temples, the street food. We take you further — into the highlands of the north, the villages off the tourist trail, and the side of the country that takes more than a week to find.
JUST A SMALL GLIMPSE OF WHAT IS POSSIBLE IN THAILAND
Not a performance for tourists — a real temple, a real morning, a real silence that settles into you and stays there long after you leave. The monks are there because they choose to be. Your presence, if approached with respect, is entirely welcome.
Communities that have lived in these mountains for centuries. We work with local guides who grew up here — who know every path, every family, and the right way to arrive as a guest rather than a tourist.
Away from the beaches and the crowds — limestone cliffs rising from still water, mangroves so dense the light barely penetrates, the sound of birds you cannot see. Your own boat, your own pace, your own silence.
Not the tourist version. The version where you eat standing up at 11pm next to taxi drivers and nurses coming off their shift. The best food in Bangkok has no menu, no sign, and is usually gone by midnight.
Above the clouds, in the cold, with a view that extends across the entire north. A Thailand most visitors never see — because it requires leaving the coast, getting up early, and driving into the mountains before dawn.
Between Phuket and Krabi, visible from both, visited by almost nobody. Rubber trees, fishing villages, bicycles on empty roads, and water the colour of a swimming pool. Thailand the way it felt thirty years ago, and somehow still does.
